Montezuma Pie

I am on a mission to find fresh chilies poblanos in London.  Vincent’s Pie was good but not spicy enough for the 3 Amigos as I used dried ones.  Tobasco was definitely required.  This pie (Heather christened it “Mexican Lasagna”) was the centrepiece of the Margarita Breakfast I made to kick off Heather and Nathan’s Birthday Treasure Hunt.  I’m going to write more about it over at the Silver Screen Suppers website but let’s just say that Sombreros were involved:

we went on a lovely snowy walk in Alexandra Park:

Dropped in for boozy coffee at the wonderful Audio Gold

had an AMAZING couple of hours at microdistillery Sacred Gin (much more about that on the Silver Screen Suppers site!)

and the biggest treasures of all were waiting for us all at the end of the day – in the pub!  Lovely chums Robbie and James:

What a fabulous day!

Looks like you had so much fun! Come to Wichita and we’ll go over to the Super Del Centro and get you some hot peppers.

We’ve finally got snow here, as well. We were having such a lovely winter!
