Yeast Bread

Bread is rising by the radiator, Boeuf a la Bourguignonne is in the slow cooker, the gas fire is on and my friends at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce are keeping me entertained.  Wow, Peggy Olsen’s room is just about as untidy as mine – that makes me very happy.

I used Doves Farm Organic Malthouse Flour for Vincent’s bread and it looks like it is going to be yummy.  I agree with Vincent that making bread is a very grounding thing to do.  I’ve been deep in thought today while I have been in the kitchen.  There has been a clearing of decks, a cleaning of slates and a clarity of thinking.

And Heather’s “What Was I Thinking” party was EPIC.  Many changes of clothing, much hilarity, I swapped a pair of boots and laughed like a drain at all the ladies and all the antics.  Here is my favourite outfit.  Jeannie’s trousers and Kerry’s top…  Heather is retrieving the woswer trousers from the charity bag as I type and I am planning a trip to Miami to show them off…

    Those pants definitely say “Miami” to me, although the closest I’ve been is a trip to Disney World in Orlando and many many reruns of Miami Vice.

    Homemade bread has to be one of the best things ever. The Malthouse Flour sounds fantastic.

  2. It was indeed VERY tasty. One loaf in the freezer, one loaf on the go all week!
