Goulash

Mmmmmm.  Goulash made with Venison.  Yes, yes, yes.  It was delicimo.  Corinna made traditional semmelknodel which we popped in and they were DIVINE.  A perfect New Year’s Eve dinner.

We started our evening watching “Dinner for One” – as is tradition.  Kate had never seen it before but Vic & I have seen it maybe 6 or 7 times and Corinna, who knows?  It’s been on TV in Austria every New Year’s Eve since 1963.  Same procedure as last year madam?  Same procedure as every year James.  The older I get, the more I love my traditions so can’t imagine a New Year’s Eve now without Dinner for One, Goulash and Columbo.

I slept most of the way through Columbo, it was Fade in To Murder with William Shatner.  Lovely Corinna has left the DVD of three episodes for me and I’m starting right at the beginning tonight with Prescription Murder.  I have a tonne of Columbo episodes on video tape as I was borderline obsessed with watching every single episode about 7 years ago.  There are 68…  I will have to find my checklist.  I certainly don’t remember having seen this one…

Ooh, Peter Falk looks so young and handsome.  It’s reminded me that I need to find some vinegar peppers so that I can make his “Pork Chops with Vinegar Peppers” so we can have a proper tribute.
